When it isn't;
"I understand"
without a given reason.
Making excuses
For their absence.

I be honest,
be myself;
Acknowledge my feelings,
my failures.
Not just an image
of what I'd like to be.

I stopped
Putting my hope
In the ways of men;
Striving to stand
On my own two feet.

It's about time
I came back to God
And the Holy Word,
Go back to the start
And renew my heart.
Find peace and purpose
In the dark.
